For more information or to purchase albums from the Jamaica to Toronto series, visit http://lightintheattic.net/releases/jamtorseries.

The most recent release in the series, Summer Records Anthology 1974 – 1988, is available at http://lightintheattic.net/releases/summerrecords.

The Summer Records Anthology is a Dual Disc release, featuring both a DVD film and 15 sizzling soul cuts. The DVD film comes courtesy of Summer Records label owner Jerry Brown, who unearthed an unseen documentary short—shot entirely in Toronto in the late ’70s—while the Light In The Attic guys were researching the release last summer. The film, Summer Sound in Canada, touches on the Jamaica to Toronto journey and features early reggae heavyweights like Jackie Mittoo, Willi Williams and Johnnie Osbourne. The Summer Records Anthology release is an essential addition to any record collection, but you can preview the documentary thanks to YouTube.
