The Jamaica to Toronto series revives a vital time in Canada’s music recording history, and the stunning talents of the men who made the music way back in the day

FURTHER TO OUR interview with Light In The Attic records co-founder Matt Sullivan in the November 2007 issue of up! magazine, we spoke with three musicians touring as Jamaica to Toronto between sets at the annual Calgary Folk Festival this past July.

ALSO SPOKE with Kevin “Sipreano” Howes, who was instrumental in tracking down much of the re-issued Jamaica to Toronto series tracks, in honouring the artists and their work by producing liner notes for various releases, as well as helping find and revive the careers of the artists now touring as Jamaica to Toronto.
